mumbai blasts

After the basts the mumbaikers seems to be angry towards the political leaders ,cops and the authorties.I was thinking of the reasons behind it.If the blast might have took place in a distant village(and even if the death toll is above 200) it might not have made such sensation i doubt.Isn't there an indication that the lives of the villagers are not as valuable as that of their counterparts in metros?(Keeping in mind the fact that the indian citizens are not being protected in the manner they should be thier lives seems to be less valuable than that of americans or the englishmen.)

The politicians are being largly criticised by the commons. When you ask them why they hadn't selected a better leader they say"we have no choice".Isn't there a sign of politicians not getting updated with the challenging pace othe modern era. When the citizens of devoloping countries know about the efficient and non corruptive politicians of the devoloped countries can we blame them for expecting something like that.
